About me

I was born in a small town in Switzerland where I grew up. In 2007 I relocated to the U.S. for work and to pursue new opportunities. Being exposed to different cultures and values has taught me to open my mind and expand my views. This openness helps me to work with families and mamas of different backgrounds going through the wonderful journey of childbirth.

Qualifications

I am a certified Birth Doula (DONA International) and in the process of becoming a certified Postpartum Doula as well. My other degrees, certifications, and affiliations include:

My own home birth experience is something I am asked about often. The short version is that I felt heard, respected, informed, empowered and most definitely safe, by my amazing birth team. Even before conception, there was an innate voice that told me my body knew how to give birth. I strongly believe in our innate, biological intelligence that knows how to birth, grow, and heal.

My passion is to support mamas in the process of trusting their own bodies to birth their families and have an optimal start to parenthood. As a doula I help you to strengthen your inner voice and guide you through the journey of birth and early postpartum.

I love music, movement, nature, and everything that involves creating and witnessing life. Family was always a big part of my life growing up, and those relationships stay strong to this day. It is those moments of togetherness and growing in love that I am privileged to be a part of as a doula. Every birth I have been allowed to witness has been a great honor.
  • REFUND POLICY A partial refund of your birth fee will be given to you if you change your mind regarding my services, for any reason, and you give me notice at least two weeks prior to your due date. In this case I will refund half of your total birth fee upon request. A refund of your birth fee will not be given under the following circumstances:
  • I miss your birth because you fail to contact me in time, or your labor is precipitous/expedited.
  • You change your mind regarding having a doula present, for any reason within two weeks of your due date.
  • Your labor results in a cesarean birth or otherwise departs from your ideal birth plan. Please understand that my presence at your birth is not a guarantee of success for any specific desired outcome. I can only support your strengths and help you to make informed decisions; the rest is up to you and your medical care providers.
